There are 4 followers who have no level cap: Jzargo (college of winterhold) - Destruction, Illusion, Heavy Armor, One-handed Celann (fort dawnguard) - Heavy Armor, One-handed, Archery, Block Durak (fort dawnguard) - Archery, Light Armor, Block, One-handed. Second most important would be their skill set/specialty. By making your skill - Legendary (version 1.9) if your skill lvl is 100. The most important factor would be the max level that the follower would level to. Level 81 is the maximum lvl you can attain in Skyrim TES 5. This went on for quite a bit before I stopped taking pictures only to find out I couldn't get Odahviing's attention off of Lydia! I had to reload and have Lydia wait inside Dragonsreach. Answer (1 of 7): What is the level cap in Skyrim Thanks for A2A. Because Lydia's physical damage resistance is 80% and her magic resistance is 85%, he can barely make a dent in her health. Below is a picture of her fighting Odahviing.
My version of Lydia is practically indestructible and seems to be able to kill anything that doesn't have an unkillable tag on it including groups of Giants and Mammoths, Falmer and Forsworn. The only conclusion I can draw is that Lydia's leveling is glitched for some of these players while others simply don't know how to optimize followers for combat. They have the highest health out of any follower you can find in Skyrim (671 compared to Mjoll's 580) and have 100 in Heavy Armor, Blocking, and One-Handed, and 98 in Archery. Lydia is a Housecarl, and they all have the same stats and they all are very capable melee fighters and archers. I keep hearing that Lydia is easy to kill but that's not been my experience and when you look at her level 50 stats it's really is hard to draw that conclusion.
